Brave sons of India

Does a man cry?.... Yes, when stories like these are heard.

I felt a lump in my throat when I went through an article on Captain Harshan's life. It is touching as well as shattering. And it's quite appalling to see the way society and higher ups there forget the supreme sacrifices of these finest sons of India. No wonder when our psyches are diabolically influenced by the bunch of pseudo seculars who make umpteen cries about the human rights violations of terrorists and criminals and conveniently choose not to acknowledge the truth, the sacrifices which hold India together as a nation.

I salute you and you will be an inspiration for generations to come. And I'm proud to have lived in your times. May your soul rest in peace......

Very emotional post indeed. The brave soldiers such as Mr. Harshan need to be remembered. No doubt. If you were referring to Afsal Guru, I do share your sentiments. But your eagerness to blame the human right activists and secularism (pseudo-secularism in your lingo) clearly shows the message that lies under this emotional post.

What are you actually trying to say here? That the soldiers are not treated well? Or their human rights are violated? As far as I know, and heard from a couple of people - cousins of my friends, served in the army and serving in the army - they and their family are given the best facilities and security available. Meanwhile, when an NGO or a social activist talk for the oppressed people, the pseudo-nationalists are outraged. Say for example, when a case of rape reported from Kashmir and if it is by the army men, these fellows think it need not be projected in the media. Whose right is being violated here?

But let a person talk about it, then these pseudo-nationalists would come in arms or rants by misusing people' sentiments to drive their ideologies. The seriously funny thing is whenever they talk about Kashmir, they connect it to secularism which means their anger towards Pakistan sponsored militants is directed towards the Muslims in general. One quick quote that they would have for this would be "All Muslims are not terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims" which has been demythified here - http://indianmuslims.in/not-such-a-quick-note-on-terrorism/

Long live the pseudo-nationalism, but there would come a day when such fundamentalist's liberal veils are unveiled.

@Jo

lol. So what do you want to prove?.
The last standing apostle of secularism. I can see you are prejudiced coz' you seem to be happy branding people. Well keep it up.

Then being liberal.... I never censor comments like some simple mallu guy does even if I disagree with those :)

I believe everyone has their say and let it be that way.

Wow! All of a sudden, you seem to be enlightened! It is not easy like bullshitting on other blogs in pseudonyms like Truth or Rowdy, right? Anyways, kudos to you and excuse the poor souls like me.

And also this reminds me of something that happened in my blog sometimes back. Some guy who got pissed off with a particular post of mine started pouring his anger through comments and I had to stop him after a pack of bullshitting. He then went on to comment on my other posts and said I need to be a Derek Malcolm to post my own opinions on a movie I watched. Yes, the same liberal guy who says that he believes everyone has their say. He also accused me of Googling for information as he is a born enlightened compared to rest of the mortal souls in this world who have to resort on books, TV or Internet for information.

About branding, can't help refraining myself. Especially when I see people who brand/judge others as fakes while they conveniently hide behind the fake identities. I don't care if this gets published or not, if you read this, that is enough.

Byebye.

lol. If you are not enlightened that's not my fault. It seems like bull shit is a favorite thing of you. You can feast on that :).

May your tribe increase.
